Novatropes Kickstarter Campaign

/ 01 Context

Master Plan Industries is a consumer electronics startup based in Phoenix, Arizona. In September of 2019, they found success on Kickstarter with a product called the Novatrope, which is a kinetic sculpture that uses strobe lights and rotation to create an optical illusion of impossible, infinite motion. 

Master Plan Industries came to us while their product was in the prototype phase. While they spent a majority of their time on the technical aspects of their product, they were looking for guidance to assist with branding, digital marketing strategy, and overall business development. 

/02 CHALLENGES

What is a Novatrope? Who wants a Novatrope? Will they know what they’re looking at? 

These were the questions we found ourselves asking repeatedly throughout this campaign strategy process. With such a unique product, we had to explore every detailed niche of art and technology to identify the audience that would be interested in a product like the Novatrope.

/03 results

Being that the Novatrope is based on the Golden Ratio phenomenon, we were very excited to implement this popular concept in their logo. After multiple iterations and feedback loops, we were able to create a logo that the founders are proud of and directly correlates to their first product. Thanks to extensive research and calculated PR outreach, Master Plan Industries was able to raise $38,000 on Kickstarter to launch their venture, surpassing their goal by $8,000.

Mark C. Winters

/ 01 Context

Mark’s passion is helping entrepreneurs get unstuck so they can expand their freedom. Depending on the unique situation, Mark’s talent for introducing just the right combination of perspective and process sparks teams to start moving, move faster, or begin moving in the proper direction – with clarity.

When Mark C. Winters approached in 2018 us he initially only required marketing services from us and we have generated thousands of dollars with him.

Now in 2020, we are proud to announce his new branding and accompanying website. We created an entire new website platform for him and a printed brand guide to ensure a solid, cohesive look across the board moving forward.

/02 CHALLENGES

We recommended the development of a completely new website, built from the ground up, with a custom design to convey the value that Mark provides to his community.

The challenge was great. Mark’s previous website was created entirely with Clickfunnels. Creating a new site on WordPress and then carefully migrating the new pages was a tedious and laborious process.

We were highly successful in launching the website and accomplishing our client’s goals. We were persistent in our communication in order to make sure we fulfilled on all expectations to deliver a well-received finished product.

Mentor Dida

/ 01 Context

What Mentor is known best for is helping individuals and groups to find the power inside of themselves to create change as well as build and mobilize communities towards a larger vision for the good of all. His life’s mission is to ensure that wellbeing is prioritized in society so we can have a world filled with compassionate leaders and empathic solutions. 

He has many well known clientele and been features, such as T-Mobile, Stanford University, ABC News, CBS, and Facebook.

Mentor needed a website that functioned as a powerful marketing and communications tool to attract potential clients and schedule meetings with him.

Mentor approached SCI Creations to design and develop a new website.

We helped Mentor Dida reach their objective of building a website and branding that describes him and gets his message across.

The website previously was difficult to use, and they needed more capabilities and features to be able to accommodate interacting with their customers. To be able to accomplish this, we redesigned the entire website in WordPress with the latest features and plugins available. The website came complete with all of the visuals we had already produced for consumers to have an enjoyable, simple experience.

We were able to closely collaborate with Mentor to pinpoint exactly what they were looking for, and were highly successful in building a website that met and surpassed their expectations.

Aha To Exit

Aha To Exit is a proven startup accelerator and community complete with mentorship, resources and one-on-one guidance provided by trained and certified startup experts. 

Whether your business is just an idea or a candidate for acquisition, their team provides targeted resources and actionable guidance to move you to the next stage of the startup life cycle.

Aha To Exit needed a website that functioned as a powerful marketing and communications tool to attract aspiring entrepreneurs, position itself as a thought leader in the entrepreneurship space, and host their online video academy.

Aha To Exit approached SCI Creations to design and develop a new website.

Azeka’s Sauce

/ 01 Context

The Azeka Family has a long history on the Hawaiian island of Maui. They have a deep passion for food and friends. This is why we wanted to help them share Azeka’s Sauce with all that we can! After a successful Kickstarter campaign, they brought their family recipe back into the spotlight for all to enjoy. Their Maui Original Sauce has a sweet and savory taste that is delicious on beef ribs, chicken, fish, rice, stir-fry, and salads! It’s All-Natural and uses the freshest ingredients. 

With such a great product and team, they needed the best branding, packaging, photography and website to tie it all together. 

Azeka’s Sauce turned to SCI to create a new Website that showcases their savory Hawaiian Barbecue Sauces. 

/ 02 The Package Design & Branding

The Azekas asked us to handle a full suite of services. We started with their packaging first. It was very much in need of a fresh look as they were getting ready to launch 4 new flavors. Our goal was to create a cohesive brand that was united in its look and appearance. Each bottle has the same layout, but certain elements stand out to show off each flavor’s uniqueness.
This also required us to create a solid brand that brought out the Hawaiian influences to create a unified identity.

/03 CHALLENGES

The website previously was hosted on Wix, and they needed more capabilities and features to be able to accommodate their new product lines. To be able to accomplish this, we redesigned the entire website in WordPress with the latest features and plugins available. The website came complete with all of the visuals we had already produced, and a full shopping experience for consumers to have an enjoyable, simple checkout experience. 

The Azekas required a large number of photography assets to get their brand up and running. We produced a variety of shots to assist in website creation and to strengthen their social media presence.

/04 results

SCI developed the brand messaging strategies, visual design and developed a tasty,  zesty, and responsive website with a strong UX design experience across desktop, tablet, and mobile browsers. 

We have spent the last year making Azeka’s Sauce the best brand it can be! We were successful in our launch of the website and our goals to be able to expand the website to be able to accommodate their new product lines. We were persistent in our communication, and worked closely with the Azekas to create a memorable finished product.

Gabe Golf

/ 01 Context

In 2009, Gabe Hjertstedt began introducing his elite clinics at prestigious golf clubs around the globe. Besides clinics, he travels to many of the major U.S. cities such as; Kona, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Austin, Miami, and New York, to work with private clientele. Currently, Gabe also works as a short-game coach with top PGA Tour players along with consulting other top players.

Gabe needed a website that functions as a powerful marketing and communications tool to attract new clients, and allowed him to advertise his lessons and products.

Gabe approached SCI Creations LLC to design and develop a new website. We also handled and produced a variety of video editing for him in multiple capacities. We also developed the branding for him.
