Footprint Foundation

/ 01 Context

The Footprint Foundation was started by the sustainable packaging company, Footprint. Their patented products are designed to eliminate plastic in all types of packaging. The foundation was started to spread awareness and provide resources to people and educate on how to eliminate plastic in your daily lives. Started by Christine Figgener, who is a marine conservation biologist and ocean advocate who is passionate about conserving marine turtles, fighting plastic pollution, and empowering women in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).

Having already created the parent website, FootprintUS.com, we were thrilled to work with Christine on this exciting non-profit. The website needed to provide resources, educational material, showcase events in the community, and discuss issues.

/02 Comic Series

Footprint also asked us to illustrate a comic series about plastic education. Starring, the Foundation director, Christine Figgener, and a fictional sea turtle. The series highlights the issues sea life is facing when it comes to plastic pollution. 

This was a challenging project all around, especially the comic series. The series is on-going and releases weekly. SCI is in charge of maintaining the website and illustrating the series.

/03 Interactive Comic Builder

In addition, Footprint Foundation asked us to create an interactive comic builder for kids to create their own comic about eliminating plastic. We created templates and characters for children to use inside the platform.

We chose to use the platform, Canva.com, as the place for kids to create their own comic. An easy-to-use platform that many parents already know how to use, it was the perfect solution for kids to easily make comics, with our illustrations and templates.

/04 results

Footprint and the Foundation was very excited to launch their new website and comic series. We continue to assist them with website maintenance and illustrating new issues of the comic.

So far, there has been nothing but positive feedback from users and kids creating comics and we are very excited to continue working with them moving forward.

Marijuana Industry Trade Association

/ 01 About

MITA is the voice of the cannabis industry in Arizona. They help Arizona’s cannabis businesses stay informed in a rapidly changing industry, network, and connect with businesses in other regions. They also work directly with policymakers to ensure that Arizoan’s program is fair, tightly regulated and successful. Their devotion to defeating negative stigmas and ending prohibition is second to none in the state of Arizona and they will play a key role for legalization in 2021.

We were thrilled to work with UNDOO because of their cutting-edge product in an industry that has grown immensely over the recent years. They came to us with the need for a modern-looking website that reflects their innovative product, along with a variety of other services. We are still working closely with UNDOO today and are very excited to continue working with them to build a strong digital presence for their brand.

/ 02 Context

In an industry that is changing rapidly as the world’s perspective towards cannabis shifts, it’s important for businesses to stay informed and connected within the industry. MITA wanted to provide more value to their members by updating their website with a professional design, load speed optimization, and a member login capabilities. After building their new website and optimizing it’s load speed, we held multiple training sessions so our representatives could teach MITA’s internal team how to maintain their website using our recommended tools.

Since MITA is at the center of the cannabis industry in Arizona, they are in possession of one of the largest cannabis-specific databases in the industry. Unfortunately, their database was unorganized and had not been engaged with in months, which is why they asked us to organize their Constant Contact database and develop a marketing funnel that would allow them to show off their new website and get more businesses into their organization.

/03 CHALLENGES

With this web service project, we did everything in our power to ensure that MITA’s internal team understood each step we were taking throughout the development process. Our team was used to managing and optimizing our projects after completion, and this consulting experience proved to benefit both parties as we were forced to think deeply about each component to ensure the MITA team would be able to maintain their website and membership portal moving forward. 

Knowing that we weren’t going to be involved with MITA’s marketing funnel prior to it’s development, we were faced with the challenge of creating a campaign with assets that can be reused and easily modified. 

/04 results

Development
Their previous site was not optimized, ran slow, and had several technical problems. Such as unnecessary plugins, multiple page builders, incorrect heading structure, and unoptimized images, which made the website’s load speed very slow. After removing all of the unnecessary software and adjusting their domain settings, we were able to bring their page speed up.

Design
Although we did not modify their branding, the key was using their branding in the way it was intended in the first place. Our primary goal was to give a clean, cohesive page structure across the entire site. One of the main issues when it came to their original website was the mobile optimization and awkward spacing, which made it difficult to read. We made sure to focus on making the website content easy to consume with the mobile display while utilizing their branding in a more professional manner.

Marketing
After organizing MITA’s database with the proper segments and tags based on their previous campaigns and audience insight from their team, we developed a membership-specific landing page. This includes all the information about MITA’s memberships while highlighting how this organization can benefit any business in the industry. They launched their first email campaign with our funnel in place in August of 2019, and they are still seeing new membership application submissions each week.

UNDOO®

UNDOO® is a unique brand in the cannabis industry. Their patented product is designed to quickly clear your head of any discomfort associated with THC overconsumption. Whether you’re a new patient trying cannabis for the first time or a seasoned veteran whose edible or concentrates were a little too strong, UNDOO Softgels are here for you.

We were thrilled to work with UNDOO because of their cutting-edge product in an industry that has grown immensely over the recent years. We are still working closely with UNDOO today and are very excited to continue working with them to build a strong digital presence for their brand.

/02 CHALLENGES

As many agencies may have already experienced, it can be very difficult to get paid advertisements approved on main advertising networks due to tight restrictions on consumables, especially if they have ties to the cannabis industry. 

Due to this, we make sure to refer to representatives from these platforms to identify what they can do to be approved, which has taught us a great deal about both the cannabis industry and advertising consumables.

UNDOO was very excited to launch their new website and begin developing their digital infrastructure. After completing their website, setting them up with a CRM system, and general sales automations, we immediately began building an Affiliate Portal for them so they could promote their product online without the uncertainty that comes with using an advertising platform. 

So far, there has been nothing but positive feedback from their influencers and we are very excited to continue working with them moving forward.

Mark C. Winters

/ 01 Context

Mark’s passion is helping entrepreneurs get unstuck so they can expand their freedom. Depending on the unique situation, Mark’s talent for introducing just the right combination of perspective and process sparks teams to start moving, move faster, or begin moving in the proper direction – with clarity.

When Mark C. Winters approached in 2018 us he initially only required marketing services from us and we have generated thousands of dollars with him.

Now in 2020, we are proud to announce his new branding and accompanying website. We created an entire new website platform for him and a printed brand guide to ensure a solid, cohesive look across the board moving forward.

/02 CHALLENGES

We recommended the development of a completely new website, built from the ground up, with a custom design to convey the value that Mark provides to his community.

The challenge was great. Mark’s previous website was created entirely with Clickfunnels. Creating a new site on WordPress and then carefully migrating the new pages was a tedious and laborious process.

/ 01 Context

Aha To Exit is a proven startup accelerator and community complete with mentorship, resources and one-on-one guidance provided by trained and certified startup experts. 

Whether your business is just an idea or a candidate for acquisition, their team provides targeted resources and actionable guidance to move you to the next stage of the startup life cycle.

Aha To Exit needed a website that functioned as a powerful marketing and communications tool to attract aspiring entrepreneurs, position itself as a thought leader in the entrepreneurship space, and host their online video academy.

Aha To Exit approached SCI Creations to design and develop a new website. 

/02 CHALLENGES

We helped Aha To Exit reach their objective of building a website and community tailored specifically for entrepreneurs. ​

We recommended the development of a video academy/community hybrid, built from the ground up, with a custom design to uniquely deliver the experience that Aha To Exit wanted to provide to its customers.

We were able to closely collaborate with the Aha To Exit team to pinpoint exactly what they were looking for, and were highly successful in building a website that met and surpassed their expectations.

SOS Arizona

/ 01 Context

Save our Schools Arizona is a group of grassroots, nonpartisan parents, teachers & business leaders who support public education in Arizona by fighting for increased funding & tax dollar accountability. They had been working tirelessly for the last two years outside of their day-to-day jobs to build their base and fight against big-pocket campaigns who wanted to siphon money from already underfunded public schools to support a private voucher.

The leaders of SOS approached us in September of 2018 right before the end of midterm election season. 

Although they made tremendous headway and had an active base they feared their message wouldn’t be able to reach the masses without a strong online presence. We were more than willing to join the fight.

/02 CHALLENGES

Political advertising comes with its own set of challenges such as heavy restrictions for copy and images, additional personal identification for advertisers and an altered strategy for campaigns. Selecting and narrowing down on a target audience plays a huge role in advertising but the difficulty in this political campaign was not to narrow down but to broaden the reach to as many Arizonans as possible while finding what messages they respond to best. 

Budgeting was also a challenge as we had to hypothesize and test how and when people were going to vote so we knew how to allocate expenditure. All of these factors had to be tested & refined within six weeks.

/03 results

Save Our Schools Arizona’s fight against Proposition 305 was a resounding victory. Prop 305 lost by a landslide of 65% against and 35% for. As their digital marketing team we were able to reach millions of Arizonans online and help swing the vote. With millions of impressions we increased their Facebook followers by 53%, had thousands pledge to vote no, and drove tens of thousands of voters to their website. By cleverly targeting different age groups, demographics and online hotspots we were able to increase the importance of voting no on Prop 305 and help the SOS spread the word online in a massive way.
